In a critical call focused on Gaza, Iran’s President-elect Masoud Pezeshkian and Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim renewed calls for urgent unity among Muslim nations to confront what they described as Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza. Pezeshkian emphasized the necessity of political and diplomatic cooperation to apply pressure on the Zionist regime, highlighting that solidarity among Muslim countries is key to restoring peace and stability to the war-torn region.
He expressed hope that through empathy and collective action, Muslim leaders could stop the repeated crimes against Gaza’s oppressed population. Sheikh Tamim echoed the concern, stating the Muslim Ummah is facing a sensitive and painful period due to Israel’s relentless assault. He commended Iran’s firm stance and called for stronger coordination to prevent further atrocities in Gaza.
The two leaders also exchanged Eid al-Adha greetings and agreed that continued high-level communication would deepen Iran-Qatar ties and help achieve shared regional goals. With the death toll in Gaza surpassing 54,000 since October 2023, both Iran and Qatar are pushing for an immediate end to the violence, urging the international community to intervene and protect civilians.
