Emirates and Kuwait Airways Strengthen Ties with New Interline Agreement

Emirates and Kuwait Airways have signed a major Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop an interline agreement, expanding travel options for passengers heading to Dubai and beyond. The signing took place during the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai, marking a significant milestone in strengthening cooperation between the two regional aviation giants.

The MoU was signed by Kuwait Airways Chairman Captain Abdulmohsen Salem Al-Fagaan and Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Kazim. The ceremony was held in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline & Group, and Sheikh Eng. Humoud Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, President of Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation, alongside senior executives from both airlines.

Captain Al-Fagaan expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, calling Emirates “one of the largest and leading airlines” and welcoming the agreement as a vital step in expanding commercial operations between Kuwait and the UAE. He emphasized that the MoU will strengthen ties between the two brotherly nations, benefiting passengers and fostering deeper bilateral relations.

Adnan Kazim echoed the sentiment, saying, “We are pleased to partner with Kuwait Airways to provide their customers enhanced choices and more convenient schedules to Dubai and destinations across our extensive network.” He added that Emirates is committed to enhancing customer benefits through this growing partnership.

Emirates and Kuwait Airways are poised to offer greater connectivity and smoother travel experiences. Emirates, which has been operating in Kuwait since 1989, currently runs 29 weekly flights, featuring the latest A350 and Boeing 777 aircraft, including Premium Economy and revamped Business Class cabins.
